Shows vista as my O/S when I have upgraded to Windows 7
Hi Tomal,
There should be some vista files still existing in a hidden boot folder somewhere on your computer. I suggest that you download software called easybcd and execute it. It which will modify the boot configuration and make the operating system to only use windows files. Another way to resolve that problem is to perform a clean install. A clean install here means that you completely format the computer by replacing it with windows and not doing an upgrade. A clean install will remove all vista related files, and only the windows files that will be installed will be in use. The problem with upgrading is that some files of the predecessor operating system which is vista are maintained.
Hope this helps,
Regards.

Hi,
I will suggest you to save your important files to another partition , and then reinstall your Windows 7. Do not forgot to format old partition where windows vista was already installed.
Hope this will help you.
