Script Error computer unresponsive issue

Hi,

I am posting here regarding my browser Internet Explorer error.

Whenever I use WordPress for my blogs and forums, I always encounter this message regarding script,

Windows Internet Explorer

Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.

If it continues to run, your computer may become

unresponsive.

                                           Yes           No

I don't remember working on a script on my computer and why I get this error. I also encounter this message when using yahoo messenger. They're an option whether to continue running the script, if I choose yes, the page loads but very slow. If I will choose no, same error will pop-up.

It is so annoying that I can't get through my blogs and read others blogs. Since blogs is my bread and butter, please share some ideas on my problem.

Chrischamp,

Script unresponsiveness is one of the major problems with older browsers – they simply cannot cope with the stresses and demands of modern AJAX-based user interfaces. Your screenshot of the error message hints that you are using a version of Internet Explorer prior to version 7 – and this is the likely culprit of your poor browsing experience.

It is a lesser known fact that Yahoo Messenger uses an embedded Internet Experience window (likely using a Web Browser .net object) and it shares the core components of the Internet Explorer version currently installed.

I would highly recommend you do the following:

1. Update to Internet Explorer. IE 9 is available and is the best version in so far as stability and speed is concerned.

2. Update your .Net Framework. Use the built in (Windows) Microsoft Update.
