Hi,
I am a lover of Adobe products and now am using In Design. For the last one week I was not able to open any of the files that I created with this same software. Could my software have been corrupted by a virus? I have Avast installed.
Cannot open the file.
“Monitoren_Contnt_week21_2009.indd”. Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application.
Adobe In Design has encountered with some critical issue
Hello Matthew,
There are at least two options available to overcome this challenge you can currently facing. However, you need to know that you cannot open a CS3 InDesign document on Adobe's CS2 or CS InDesign. Hence, you should consider these options.
(1) Install InDesign CS3. You can get this from Adobe or any of its Authorized Resellers. You will be required to part with some amount in order to download this.
(2) Install the recent version of InDesign CS2 (which is InDesign CS2 4.0.5).
After downloading InDesign CS2 4.0.5, you can now open InDesign CS3 document in InDesign CS2 by exporting your document as an InDesign Interchange document, ( that is .inx).
You can follow these simple steps in exporting your documents in .inx.
-
Open your documents in InDesign CS3
-
Choose file
-
Click on export
-
From the Save As or Format Type, choose InDesign Interchange
-
Click on Save
-
You can now open your document in InDesign CS2
I do hope this helps.
Regards
