Hi,

I am trying to install a game from a discussing Windows XP SP2 Operating System but an error message appears. I meet all the system requirements to play this game properly. I can’t understand how to resolve this weird error message. Could you please assist me to fix this issue? I would be grateful to you. Thanks in advance.

Hi Penelope,

Cyclic Redundancy Check or CRC error happens when there is a problem copying files from one device to another if the files or file has not been written properly onto the source drive. If you are trying to install from a CD or DVD drive, you will need to rewrite the files on a fresh disk with a lower speed.  As an alternative, try to copy the installation files onto the local computer and then try to install.
