Drones have become the face of technology with their greater features and videos taken to where a human cannot reach. These keep updating each and every day at the market. DJI has come up with the Phantom 2 as well, but it had quite a few drawbacks like crashing into objects. DJI has come with a rapid update to its new release this year with Phantom 4. Quick updates that can easily categorize it to “The best and wise drone”.
The Phantom 4 quite came out with its new look, the motors are now outside the propellers which it attractive and is less substantial, but there are no guards for the propellers. You might need a new set in case you crash it. The controls are quite easy to be handled, and the camera upgraded to its best. The propellers have a quick take off when it is put in action. The features that stand out are the object detection and the avoidance feature.
The drone detects the objects when you steer it and escapes past the object, no matter what. It does not crash in at any cost. This takes place when you move in forward direction and not the other way round. No matter how much you try to smash, it wouldn’t. It will stop about 5 feet away from the targeted subject. The avoidance system just works perfect, but it cannot take in sudden changes in path and velocity. It has got the computer vision, where it senses the objects and avoids them, and the automatic features make it impressive. It is not only for professionals but also for those who are learning the art to fly one.
The Phantom has made changes in respect to the camera and footage that gets recorded. The drone is stable for even a bit breezy weather. The camera works on the same technology as its predecessor with Lightbridge downlink. The video is absolutely of high clarity it has got no lag, the video saturation has come down and is less sharp than before. Thereby making it comfortable for editing your footage, and adding some extra features would not do any harm. One limitation we should talk about is the autonomous mode of flight. The drone cannot adjust to sudden changes in the path, and cannot avoid obstacles other than what’s in the front. It has got only got Sixty degree view on the field, meaning you can only give it a turn of about thirty degrees. The other feature being the Tracking, you can target a subject and track it. The tracking system will not work if it is too far or the object is smaller in size. It is done best to a standstill object with ten feet away, But when a person wearing same colors or in a group it might deviate from its track.
Conclusion:
The DJI has come up with few breath-taking features that can be a giant leap in the technology of drones. The camera, the flight and the impressive avoidance and collision features are that make it the best in the lot, but what you have to consider is the cost. It only comes with a battery, regardless of its price you should surely give this one a try.
