Why does my screen turns white all of a sudden?
I have Dell computer with Linux OS. Everything worked fine until two days ago when my computer screen just turned white all of a sudden. I tried restarting but it couldn't help.

If that’s the problem with your screen, it could be a problem with the graphics adapter, its driver, or the monitor itself. If this is the current status of your screen, try adjusting first the contrast and brightness buttons on your monitor to adjust the settings of the screen. If there is no problem with the monitor, it should display back to normal.
If this doesn’t fix it, try restarting your computer. If there is a problem with the graphics adapter’s driver, you should be able to see something during the BIOS POST screen while it is restarting. At this stage, the computer is using the video card’s basic driver to display basic information on the screen. At this point, the video card driver you installed in Windows is not in use.
If the problem is with the Windows driver and the video card is working properly, your display should work normally. But if you still see a white screen during reboot, it could be a problem with the graphics adapter. To further assess the problem, try connecting the monitor to another CPU. This should verify if the problem is originating from the monitor itself.
If the monitor is working properly, you should see a normal display once it is connected to another CPU. But if it’s the same all white screen, your monitor is already broken or damaged. Just replace it with a new one.
