Khmer count characters in a MS. Word Documents. How to count the number of words for an entire document? It can count the number of paragraphs, lines and characters? In this case I need to count words in selected text with khmer characters only, is it possible?

Khmer count characters in a MS. Word Documents

Hi,

You need to use external software for doing this. You just cannot do this with MS word as no such facility is being provided. However, software are available( word count software) that can count words from other languages like Khmer. You need to install such software. You can use hermetic word frequency counter and that can be downloaded from here. Click here.

Question 1:  How to count the number of words for an entire document?

The count of words of whole document can be seen at the bottom in status bar, like "words: ###".

• If you don't see something like that, right click on the status bar and select "Word Count'

Question 2: It can count the number of paragraphs, lines and characters?

Yes, to see the details of numbers of paragraphs, lines and characters in the document, click on the  "words: ###" in status bar at the bottom.

Question 3: In this case I need to count words in selected text with 'khmer' characters only, is it possible?

If you want you can get the count of words in the selected text, it will be displayed in the status bat at the bottom, like "words: ***/###".

Being *** count of word in selected text, for ### words in the whole document

But to find specific word with 'khmer' or any other language is not possible with MS office tools
