Hi,
You want to format your USB device. But you did not mention whether the USB device is currently running well or not. If yes, your USB device is corrupted with virus. You may not be able to format your USB device in this position. To format your USB device you may go through the followings:
1. If there is an antivirus running with your PC – scan the USB device first. Make sure the antivirus has scanned your device properly. If your running antivirus is unable to scan it, then another new version of antivirus may be required.
2. After scanning the device you can proceed to the command Format.
3. You can also take the necessary backup of your important data from the device before formatting.
I hope you understand it.
Thanks
