The Depending upon the process scheduling algorithm (as in medium term schedulers), some process may be swap out of main memory on hard disc for some time and then brought back into the main memory. So the space on hard disc where these processes are kept is called Swap Space.okz

And the answer of next part is the selecting a good mix of I/O bound and CPU bound jobs will enable the CPU to schedule the tasks equally between I/O bound and CPU bound processed. If there are more CPU hungry processed then I/O bound processes may find processor lesser amount of time as similarly vice-versa for I/O hungry processes. Therefore selecting a good mix of both type of processes will enable to optimize the functionality of CPU and system at large.

Ok you can ask more questions I am available for all of my friends.

Thanks.

In Linux this is use when a RAM memory is full. And when it still needs more memory resources, inactive pages are transferred in swap space, but you should not considered it as a replacement of RAM. It has a slower access time than physical memory and it was located on hard drives.

It was also used as a extension for a computer RAM. You can swapped in and out files in your computer using swap space. When you want to remove some files but you still needs it swapped out it using a swap space. And when the times that you needed it swapped in the swap space. Their is also an advantage of swap space. You can organized files that are being swapped in and out..

Hope it can help you 🙂

Hi good day the Swap space it is on the hard drive used as the virtual memory, a fake memory used to your computer, and it is pretend that you have a more RAM in your computer that’s why you can work easy and faster as you can do.

Just visit this site for more information about Swap Space, Click  and find the video name WHAT ‘SWAP SPACE’ Means

I will give you also the site of why the long term scheduler must select a good mix of I/O bound and CPU bound jobs?

Click

Thank you, hope its help.
