Hi
In my office we have to do lot of PDF to word conversions. Manually doing this cost lot of time for us. We have cannon text scanner in our office. So can we use this to con we use this to convert printed totes into word documents.
Thanks.
Can use the canon text scanners to convert printed text to .docx?
Many printer now a days tend to come with inbuilt optical character recognition software. There are a number of Canon printers that have this. If the printer that you are using lacks an OCR, you can try ABBYY fine reader. With ABBYY all you have to do is set the software to scan your printed totes while ABBYY converts the scans into text, docx.

Hi Kent!
If the scanner does have the capability to scan files and instantly convert them into text, then use it.
If it won't work, all you have to do it follow these steps:
-
Go to Control Panel.
-
Go to Programs or Add or Remove Programs.
-
Select Microsoft Office.
-
Click on Change.
-
Select Add or Remove Features and Continue.
-
Expand Office Tools.
-
Click on Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
-
Select Run all from My Computer and Continue.
-
Scan and save the file as a black and white picture or text in the TIFF format.
-
Open Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
-
Open the .tiff file.
-
Copy All by hitting CTRL + A and CTRL + C.
-
Paste in a blank document.
-
Check for errors and correct them.
And you're done.
