Hi techyv,

What is the disadvantage of no watermark webcam video? When I tried to make a video using movie maker I was not able to put some watermark. I don’t have an idea about it. Can you share with me the ways of putting some watermark on video captured in webcams?

What is the disadvantage of no watermark webcam video?

When you post videos online or share it with friends, other people can easily copy it and use it for their own purposes. Even though you post some copyright notices as caption of your video, there are many stubborn people who would take that for granted. Having a watermark placed over your video is like putting a stamp or identifier, as proof of your ownership.

The simplest way to do this using Windows Movie Maker is to add titles and credit, which will add text watermarks over your videos.

What is the disadvantage of no watermark webcam video?

Hi Mia,

 

The only disadvantage of having no watermarks on a webcam video is that anyone can copy it which is an intellectual rights violation.

 

Windows Movie Maker does not have the capability of adding water marks in videos. It is only a basic video editor that can cut and put together simple effects on audio, photo and video files.

 

The software that will allow you to add watermarks are Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas Pro and other similar video editors. Though, you would have to buy one to be able to use that feature. There are also trial versions that you can download from the internet.
