Error retrieving data from the server

Hey,

My name is Alice. I am a database administrator, but not really with a lot of experience as pertains exchange servers.

I am running an exchange server 2008 in my office. Everything was working fine until I had to re install the software due to some virus attack.

Everything has been set up well, I believe. But when I am trying to open a remote pure message console on my exchange server, I get the following error which I have no idea on how to solve it.

Sophos PureMessage

Error retrieving data from the server. Ensure server / database is started and try again.

I am newbie with little experience in this field, but then need to solve this as soon as possible. Any help on this, will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alice1,

   I  have  read  your  problem  that  you  discuss  in  your message  about  Sophos  PureMessage.If  you  running an exchange  server  2008  in  your  office. Due  to  some virus  problem, you  have  to  re-install  this server  again  and  try  to  open  the  remote  control  message,error  is  occur. you  can  resolve  this  error easily  using these  steps:

1. User  is  trying  to  log  on  should  be  a  part  of  the  group Sophos  PureMessage  Administrators and create a group in Active Directory via PureMessage.

2. The users to add this grouping, then you go to the Windows Active Directory Users & window’s computer and also open the Users folder.

I  think  this  is  helpful  for  you.
