Services Error Message (Printer spooler)

Hello everyone,

I got a problem issue with my Print Spooler.

The problem is when I tried to startup my printer spooler, I get the following error message:

Services

Windows could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer.

Error1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.

And there was no any printer listed anywhere.

My Operating system is Windows Vista.

Is there anyone faced this problem before, to tell me how I can solve this issue on my PC

If you please tell me in details the steps that can solve the problem. I am not involved with the technical problems.

Services Error Message (Printer spooler)

To fix this error, first fix the dependency information of printer spooler service.

option 1.

Open RUN window and type the following and press ENTER key

CMD /K SC CONFIG SPOOLER DEPEND= RPCSS

option 2.

Open RUN window and type regedit and press ENTER key. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM  CurrentControlSet Services Spooler and on the right panel double click DependOnService then replace the value data to RPCSS

Services Error Message (Printer spooler)

Hi Jenny Teshima

 You can easily resolve this problem by following method-

• Go to start menu and click on the run
• In the dialog box you have to type services.msc and then click OK
• A pop up service menu will appear and go to print spooler
• Then you have to go to the print spooler by double clicking and set start up type Automatic and click Ok
• Then restart your computer and re-install the printer driver. If you don’t have the driver software then download it from the manufacturer website.
• If your problem will not fix then fully uninstall all your driver software and re-install again
• Then that the driver was uninstalled successfully under Printer and Fax. If it was not uninstalled then just delete it and again re-install.
