Stop notifications on my iPHONE for my SMS

When i get an SMS i get a message on my screen and that's very annoying as it breaks my privacy

Where can i get and change these settings

Hello TracieWalker47 here are the steps to turn off SMS notifications for your iPhone, assuming it uses iOS 7

1. On your Home screen Selecte Settings.
2. On the Settings Menu
3. Select the Notification Center
4. Select INCLUDE
5. Select Messages > Select Alerts> Select Show Preview
6. Then select OFF

Go to Settings > Messages. There's an option "Show Preview" there. If you toggle this option to off, it will not show SMS previews on the main lock screen. Alert Pop=ups will also be disabled by this operation..

Alternatively, iBlacklist is an excellent app. This app allows you to block SMS and Calls. It reads the blacklist and prevents the blacklists from SMS and Call menus. It is password protected so it provides you an extra security.

Even if you don't want to blacklist anyone, you can still set it so that you don't get a popup at all when new SMS messages arrive. Your messages will go to your regular inbox, and you'll still hear the alert, but no popup.
