Due some of the files in Partition Magic has been deleted, it causes your un-installation process to get an error. Re-installation of the program can fix your un-installation.

  • Reinstall Partition Magic (Make sure it is the same version you used when installing your Partition Magic.).
  • Uninstall Partition Magic (Two ways can be done to uninstall your Partition Magic. See the steps below.).
  • Unplug your Ethernet cable.
  • Temporarily disable your Antivirus. (Antivirus can interfere with Partition Magic installation.)
  • Click Start, and then Run.
  • In the dialog box, type Chkdsk and press OK.
  • Click Start and choose All Programs, and then click Partition Magic and choose Uninstall Partition Magic or click Start, and then choose Control Panel, and then Add/Remove Programs, and find Partition Magic and remove it.
  • Click Start, and then Run. Type Regedit and press OK. In Regedit.
  • In the Microsoft Registry Editor, search for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession Manager."
  • Double-click on BootExecute in the right panel and remove the line Xmnt2002. Amend the other line to read this: "autocheck auto chk".
  • Click "OK" and then exit Regedit.

Have a nice day,

Maybe try a re-install and then see if the program has its own Uninstaller instead though I understand the add/remove Uninstaller just opens the programs Uninstaller first if there is one.

  • I would suggest you to uninstall all versions of multimedia center in Control panel > Add and Remove programs and Then reinstall it on the system and check whether the issue is resolved.
  • Secondly, I would suggest you to do a SFC (System File checker) scan on the system and check whether the issue is resolved.

Follow the steps mentioned given below.

  • To change a program, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double – click Add or Remove Programs.
2. In the Currently installed programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Change or Change/Remove.
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to make the changes that you want.

  • If you know what files are missing from the system, you can re-register them on the system.
  • You can use the Regsvr32 tool (Regsvr32.exe) to register and unregistered OLE controls such as a DLL or ActiveX Controls (OCX) files that are self-registerable.

Click on Start menu button and type in cmd in the start search box.

  • Right click on cmd and click on ‘Run as Administrator’.
  • Typeregsvr32.exe <the missing DLL file > in the cmd prompt and press enter.
  • Now the DLL file will register on the system.
