Getting “Error 2738” while installing Hallmark Card Studio 2012 Deluxe

Hi, I got an error message while installing Hallmark Card Studio 2012 Deluxe. When the installation process was almost 90 % finished according to the install bar, this error message is given below:

Error 2738. Could not access VBScript run time for custom action. 

After that I clicked the ‘OK” button for finishing it immediately but again another message appeared that the wizard was interrupted before Hallmark Card Studio 2012 Deluxe could be completely installed. Then according to their instruction I tried to run setup again.  I got the same error like before after trying again the setup procedure.

For your information, my PC is a Dell computer with 32 bit Windows Vista.

After a quick check I thought the program should work. But again there was an abnormal termination when I saved the card that I tried to create. Please help me to find solution.

Getting “Error 2738” while installing Hallmark Card Studio 2012 Deluxe

Hi Mandy Miller ,

I have read your post and found the solution to your problem. The error message appears basically because VBScript engine isn't registered so you will have to register it yourself by following these simple steps:

First you need to enter Command Prompt but only as Administrator (you said you run VISTA) , into Start , All Programs , Accessories and then you right-click on the Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator. Okay . So far so good.

Next you need to type in the following command 

cd %windir%system32 and press Enter and after that you type the command

regsvr32 vbscript.dll , wait for the confirmation message and this should solve it , but just to be on the safe side put in this command as well

regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter again , then go ahead and reinstall. Should work just fine.
