Make sure that when you uninstall the Nokia PC Suite, you also remove all the files and shortcuts attached to it. You have to check your Local Disc C:,

• Go to Pror computer.
• gram Files and look for a file or folder connected to that, delete it also. Restart your computer.
• Try this: Remove the NOKIAManager.mox file.
• Exit Photoshop Elements
• Open C:Program FilesAdobePhotoshop Elements 6.0moxplugins folder
• Move the above-mentioned file to the Recycle Bin or to your Desktop
• Restart you

OR

Install or reinstall the Nokia PC Suite software.

• Start  -> Programs -> Nokia PC Suite -> Uninstall Nokia PC Suite -> Check Currently Installed Programs in Control Panel if the program is still there, remove it from there also -> Go to Local Disk C: Program and Files, remove files connected to it -> Repair -> Restart your computer.

A number of reasons may be contributing to the error you are getting while trying to install the application.  This includes: connapi.dll or related files are corrupt, hardware failure, presence of Trojans/viruses or registry problem.

One of the major causes of this error is a corrupted registry that is caused by faulty installation and reinstallation of software.

To fix this you need to run a dll repair, on you machine to remove invalid registry entries.  You can download this tool from : DLL Repair tool ;

Scan your computer with an Antivirus program ;

If the two solutions don't fix the problem, you need to remove NokiaManage.mox from Photoshop elements.  This is the file used by Photo Shop photo download feature, to download files from a Nokia Phone.

If you don't use this feature, you can safely remove this file by deleting from C:Program FilesAdobePhotoshop Elements 6.0moxplugins folder.

Hope you are doing well.

You may try the following steps.  Please Uninstall Nokia PC Suite, Nokia Connectivity Cable driver, PC Connectivity solution. 

Then run the Nokia PC Suite cleaner (application from Nokia too).

After doing so please re install your Nokia PC Suite 7.1 (or whatever is the latest version) from Nokia.com/pcsuite. After reinstalling reboot your computer ; then try to connect your phone to your computer again.  This should solve your issue.

connapi.dll not found error, occurs when you accidentally remove the file or if it's already corrupted by virus or Malware, registry problem or a hardware failure. You might not have removed all the files, when you uninstalled the Nokia PC Suite. Uninstalling and reinstalling the software differs, depending on the Windows operating system you're using.
If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista:

1. Click Start and then go to Control Panel ;
2. Click Uninstall a program link n the Programs heading.

Note: If you're using the Classic View (Vista) or Icon view (Windows 7), double click on Programs & Features icon.

3. Locate and click the program you want to uninstall by scrolling through, the currently installed programs.

3. Scroll through the list on Currently Installed Programs and then click on the program you want to uninstall.
