Hello friends,

How to change default disc drive windows 7? I just installed windows 7 operating system in my dell computer desktop yesterday and was successful. I want to change the default disc drive on saving important files but how? Guide me on the proper settings.

How to change default disc drive windows 7?

Hi Pamela,

If you want to change the default path where to save your files (My Documents), all you have to do is:

1. Right click on the My Documents folder .

2. Go to properties.

3. Click include a folder.

4. Then select a folder you want and click include forlder.

5. Then highlight the newly appointed folder and click set save location. 

When installing new programs, you can also set the path/drive where you want to install the new program.
