Is there a way to increase the download speed of your connection? What is a download accelerator?  Can this help make browsing and video buffering faster?

Hey,

1. Actual download speed depends with internet connection speed. If you use high speed internet connection then obviously your download speed also increases. You should contact with your internet service provider about this issue.
2. Internet download accelerator is a popular software for download any contents from the internet. There has resume facility in internet download accelerator. It can download any large file in minimum time. I have authorized download option too. Sometimes we need to login in website for download that web content, the internet download accelerator has a feature to authorize download. It can turn off the computer automatically after complete download any content. It saves data cost.
3. Yes. Internet download accelerator can buffers fast any content for download.

Download accelerators: do they really work?

What a download accelerator does is to optimize your download but it doesn’t go beyond the speed of what your internet connection can give. It also depends on the speed of your internet connection. So, if you already have a slow connection to start with, the download accelerator can do nothing to speed up the download since it is only an application that relies on your internet connection.

But even if this is the case, there is still a way to speed up the download even a little bit and it doesn’t involve installing a program. You can speed up your download by adjusting the “Limit reservable bandwidth” in Microsoft Windows. This setting controls the percentage of connection bandwidth that your system is able to reserve.

The Packet Scheduler, by default, limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection. To adjust this setting, run “gpedit.msc” in the command prompt. Next, go to Local Computer Policy, Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, QOS Packet Scheduler, and then double-click “Limit reservable bandwidth”. In Setting tab, select Enabled and then set “Bandwidth limit” to zero [0].

Click OK and that’s it. You can now fully utilize the full potential of your internet bandwidth.
