Hi Elizabeth,
Â
This could be arises because you did not restart MY Computer after unplug your webcam and plug it back.
Â
To make the webcam work again, you could simply try to quit and restart My Computer.
If this still does not work, restart again. Microsoft has already confirmed this as a bug.
Â
Hope this could help.

The first thing you need to do when you are using new hardware is to check whether the driver for that hardware is already installed in your computer. You can do this by going to my computer, then properties, then device manager, and check if there is a missing installed driver in your computer. You can verify if there is a driver missing if you can see a question mark with a yellow  fontcolor of it. If so happen that you have seen one of those question mark, click on the device to which it is referring to and find a driver for that device. You can find it online by just downloading it considering the name and model of that device or you can install it manually if you still have their driver. The driver is commonly with the hardware as you buy them.

Hi Elizabeth, this problem may occur if you unplug the imaging device and then plug it back in without restarting My Computer. To work around this problem, quit and then restart My Computer. If this does not resolve the problem, restart your computer. Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products. Hope this will help 🙂
