Good day,
I have a Linksys router WRT54G, that works fine. I decided to upgrade to D-Link 601 router. For some reason(s) this sucker will not work for me. Here is the procedure I used:
-
Enter  192.168.0.1 > admin > leave blank.
-
I did the manual setup > save setting.
-
I waited for the system to reboot. After that, it refused to connect to the web.
-
I disconnected everything  for two minutes >> plug the modem in > waited for the link light to stabilized > plug in router and waited for it to boot up.
-
Then the computer still unable to connect after that
-
I started tinkering with the router and it says that (WAN and LAN cannot be the same SUBNET).
At this moment, I felt confused because I used only one router.
By the way, I want to tell you that I use Time Warner Cable
Can someone provide me some guidance?
Thanks.

D-link router does not work with road runner
Hi good morning,
I read the issue about the installation of your d-link router 601, the configuration of d-link router depends upon the connection that you used. Okay, I will share with you, how to configure of d-link router.
-
Make sure that the connection of the internet cable wire is good. If the pin of RJ45 is dirty you need to clean it, by using a small flat screw.
-
Open web browser and type the IP address of d-link router>> 192.168.0.100.
-
Setup your d-link router, if you want DHCP. It is better because most of the d-link was in DHCP setup, or you like static just put an IP address.
-
You can also set into automatic default.
-
Save and reboot the router.
Make sure all cable wire are checked and also RJ45 pin. If this option does not work, then there is incompatibility in your internet connection.
