I am running a Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit version.

 

Specifications of the system: 

 

• Intel Core 2 2.8 GHz processor
• RAM: 2 GB
• Video Adapter: Built-in Intel VGA
• HDD : Hitachi 500 GB

 

Problem Details:

STOP ERROR 0x00000004 in Vista

 

Dear AsithaDJ,

 

• The blue screen refers to the error Ox4 which is known as invalid data access trap. First check if you have any hardware change or hardware or driver damage problem.

 

Then follow the steps below:

 

• Try to restart the computer, the problem would solve at the first time. But if not then follow the other steps.
• You can try using the windows vista CD.

 

These steps can solve all these issues:

 

• Undo the driver or registry settings by startup using last known good configuration.
• Recent system changes may be undone by restoring system.
• Check the free space on your computer. Check that at least 5-7 % space is free.
• Change your BIOS settings to an earlier time.
