You can try Canon's standalone app called "Canon XF Utility." That may be able to read the card structure. I know it comes with the camera and I think you can download an update of it from their site.



Or download the trial version of Adobe CS6. Premiere Pro and Prelude will deal with virtually any file format structure intact or not. Also you might check maybe you have a limitation size of your flash drive.Check the properties of your flash drive and find out if it is formatted as FAT32. You will need to format it to NTFS which supports large size of files.

That error points to an invalid media. This can be an unsupported image format or container or corrupted image file. Final Cut Pro, any version, supports the following image formats:

• BMP
• GIF
• HEIF (this format requires OS X 10.13 High Sierra)
• JPEG
• PNG
• PSD (static and layered)
• RAW
• TGA
• TIFF

If your version cannot open the file, try updating Final Cut Pro. On your Macintosh, click on the Apple menu and select “Software Update”. On the next screen, see all the available updates for your operating system and install them particularly the update for Final Cut Pro. If this doesn’t work, trash Final Cut Pro then install it back.

If you are selecting and loading multiple images, it is possible that one of the files you selected is corrupt. In this case, select and load images in Final Cut Pro one at a time. When one image doesn’t load or triggers the same error, this means this is the file that causes the error. Just delete the file to load all other files.
