Where can I get some general information about making webpage?

You want to learn about creating website. Creating website is an interesting process. You can create free website at blogspot.com, wordpress.com, wix.com etc. sites. If you want, you can also create all by yourself with HTML, PHP and CSS etc.

As you are new, you should open a free blog. Go to any of the sites mentioned above. Then make a free account. Then login into the site. There you will find everything to create a website. You can make, edit your own posts and publish it public. So other people will be able to share your knowledge.

First of all, choose a topic which will be the main feature of your website. Then start posting about various things related to your chosen topic. You can also earn much with a website.

Hi Olivia Rodriguez,

There are few steps you should follow to build your own website:

1.   You must have a domain name. That is your website name. Your domain name should be short, clear, easy to remember, and meaningful. Then, you need to register it to a company, which provide domain name on the Internet. If you are lucky, you can get that name. If not, you have to choose another one because someone else gets that name.

2.   You must have a web host. That means you will choose a company that store your website into servers and transmit your website to Internet. Therefore, when someone types in your domain name, it will show your website.

3.   You create your own website now. You can use free software from your webhost, or you can build by your own by using some tools or languages such as C#, JavaScript, HTML+CSS,…

4.   After that, you have to test all your web pages by using some browsers like Firefox, Opera, Chrome, IE,… You have to do this in order to know how your website looks like, and then fix bugs (errors) if need.
