EasyTag error message while saving

Hello,

I was trying to get help on EasyTAG. EasyTAG is a utility for viewing and editing tags for MP3, MP2 and other formats. I have the 2.x version of EasyTAG installed on my Windows Vista OS recently. I downloaded it from the official web link, followed the instruction and installed it without any error message. I wanted to change some tags and I completed it, but when I click on Save it came up with an error message pointing to my file path.

You have tried to save this tag to Unicode but it was detected that your version of id3lib is bugged. If you reload this file, some characters in the tag may not be displayed correctly…

Please, apply to id3lib the patch src/id3lib/patch_3.8.3_UTF16_writing_bag.diff available in EasyTag

Package source. Note that this message will appear only one time.

I am not aware of what could be done since I am using this software for the first time.

Do we have any automatic fix for this?

EasyTag error message while saving

Hi,

It's seems that there is a bug in your program that can be solved by updating your program or downloading a patch from the internet and installing the patch manually to your program. You can download the patch from their website and install it. I hope you find the solution to your problem.

EasyTag error message while saving

Hello,

id3lib is a software library basically for reading, writing, and manipulating ID3v2 tags.

Please note that you encounter id3lib 3.8.3 problem and to resolve it you need to download id3lib 3.8.3 supporting patch from the internet.

Please follow the following steps

1. Close your EasyTAG first.

2. Click this link

3. Download the id3lib 3.8.3 zip file and save it on your computer.

4. Install the patch and change your tags.

Otherwise you can simply change the tag as similar name might be existing in your tag list.

EasyTag error message while saving

Hi Sammy,

Yes, this is definitely a bug in your EasyTag program.

In order to fix this, you must be able to patch the current version of your EasyTag program (you must have Administrative privileges).

1. From this close your application and apply the new patch version.
2. If this will not work, please use the easytag2.1.6 beta version available for your Windows OS. (You can get the setup from official web page).
