The difference between the Magento Community & Enterprise edition?

Hello,

I am interested in starting up an e-commerce site. I heard that Magento was an excellent option and that there were two editions, with one (community) available as a free download under the open source system. 

I would like know the differences between the Magento  Community edition & the Enterprise edition in addition to the obvious cost associated with the Enterprise  edition.

Help would be high appreciated.

The difference between the Magento Community & Enterprise edition?

Hello Chad,

The Magento Commerce has three versions that are available community version, enterprise version and enterprise premium version, although I think the Enterprise Premium version would not be suitable for a start up business.

Dear Chad Raymond,

If you are new to eCommerce then you should use magneto community version for these reasons:

• It is free with no cost.
• There is no long time to start marketing; you just need few hours to having an online site.
• In the start-up of your business will have a little work on ongoing security, support and updates, so you can do it yourself.

The difference between the Magento Community & Enterprise edition?

Magento Enterprise Edition is well known for its very fast interface and is used worldwide for e-commerce sites.

However, the Community version is rather slow and sometimes people do not want to use it to start their business online.

 

Besides it doesn’t perform up to the standards so it is not really recommended to use.
