Greetings to all, I have here an issue about SEAMONKEY, I have a problem while using SEAMONKEY, I always meet an error that said Secure Connection Failed,
Please see below the error message that I captured.
Â
Secure Connection Failed
Webauth.comcast.net:443 uses an invalid certificate.
The certificate expired on 1/21/2010 5:59 PM.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)
This could be a problem with the server’s configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.
The above error message is always appearing every time I use SEAMONKEY on a certain web page, I've been re installing the certificate for many times already, but same error keeps on flashing my screen when I try to enter a certain web page, I already run out of ideas, so for those who have tried the same error that I have,
Please share your ideas on this problem thanks a lot in advance.Â
Secure connection failed uses an invalid certificate
I have read the problem which you are facing and I have also faced it earlier. This problems usually happens if have downloaded Sea Monkey from any unwanted or restricted source in the internet. So whenever you try to browse or edit HTML pages or even chat in IRC in the network since this has been brought from a non secure site it always fails to pass the certification.
Now to make your complex situation a bit simple I would prefer you to download Sea Monkey from:
 https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/
as this is the most secure place and site to download any sorts of apps, programs which you like and almost all of them are free of cost.
Please download it and install it in your computer and then try using it again.
If the problem still persists then I would suggest you to change the software and use other software’s available.

Secure connection failed uses an invalid certificate
Hello Simonthames,
The most probable error here is that the website's certificate is expired. Microsoft usually authenticates the certificate of any server or website and if the certificate is invalid or expired, it cannot be able to connect. The most advisable solution here is to check the website's certificate on whether it can open with any other address.
You may need to set the clock of your computer since it may be on a wrong date. When the error comes, you may just click on 'view certificate' then 'get certificate' then you will be able to access the site.
Thanks
