There are many alternatives to get internet TV for your ubuntu, here are some of them:

1)  FreeTuxTV web TV player: the latest release is 0.5.2 and it allows you to watch channels and also listen to the radio.

to install FreeTuxTV using the terminal you can use the following code,

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:freetuxtv/freetuxtv
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install freetuxtv

2)  Zattoo: It may not be available for your country but if it is available it can offer 100+ live TV channels.

3)  Miro: a free easy to use application with high quality videos.
