Hello techyv community! I wanted to burn a DVD with the remote desktop connected to my Windows Vista machine, but I got an error message saying: “If you are running Nero burning software via Windows Remote Login, you might not be able to access your drivers for burning. This is a security restriction from Windows”.
Please help me solve this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cannot burn DVD using Nero through Windows Remote Login
Hi there! You can try this solution, first go to the Start menu and type in: Â gpedit.msc . In the left pane of Group Policy Editor, then click next to Computer Configuration, then next to Administrative Templates, then next to System, then next to Removable Storage Access. In the right pane of Group Policy Editor, you must change the value of the Setting. Then all Removable Storage: Allow direct access in remote sessions, then to Enabled. After you then Exit Group Policy Editor and you should be able to burn a DVD over Remote Desktop now. I hope this helped you. Thanks!
