3DS Max 2013 installation failure

Hi All,

I tried downloading and installing the 3DS Max 2013 Trial version two days back. I was able to complete the download without a hitch. But when I try installing, I run straight into this error message that is shown in the below attachment. I can’t make head or tail out of this message. As soon as the installation begins and proceeds a bit further, this error appears and everything stops. I have been trying to run the installer a couple of times. But I happen to get this error unfailingly ever since I tried this out. I am using windows 7 on my machine. And as far as I know all the software on this system is up to date and no other programs were open while installing this software. Can somebody please help me to understand what is amiss and get it fixed to complete this installation? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Though Microsoft Windows 7 is fully supported, you still need to check if the operating system you are using is 32-bit or 64-bit. These two versions differ from each other and no programs can be installed on the wrong version of the platform. This means, a 32-bit application will not install on 64-bit operating system and likewise, a 64-bit program can’t be installed if you have a 32-bit operating system.

So here, though both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows 7 are supported, you need to check what version you are using and the version of the program you are installing because Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 is available in 32-bit and 64-bit and also you need to have the Professional edition of Microsoft Windows 7.

If you are using Windows 7 32-bit, download the Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 32-bit version. But if you are using Windows 7 64-bit, download the Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 64-bit version of the installer. And very importantly, your processor should include support for SSE2 technology. To check the specs of your processor, visit AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 Crashes.
