My Safari 5.1.5 is having problems loading the websites I'm trying to access too. Sometimes the page just hangs in the middle of something so I have to reload the page. However, reloading does not work, it just stays the way it was. Also, when entering the page via a link, sometimes it loads completely but sometimes it only displays a white page.
What can I do to possibly fix this problem?
Safari Not Loading Web Pages
Dear friend
When loading WebPages in Safari 5.0.1 or later, you may experience the following:
Slow performance
Partially-loaded pages
Webpage "cannot be found" message
To solve this issue first try a different DNS service
Or, search the Internet for "Third-party DNS services" for more options and information
Choosing different DNS will identify that DNS not causing this issue.
Still Problem persist try Disabling DNS Prefeching by below steps
If you are using Mac OS follow below step
Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities).
Execute the Terminal command below to disable DNS prefetching:
defaults write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
Quit Safari, then open it again and test for the issue.
If you are using Window Xp, Vista or Windows 7(32-bit) follow below step.
Open the Command Prompt (Choose Windows > Run > cmd).
“Program FilesCommon FilesAppleApple Application Supportdefaults.exe” write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
Quit Safari, then open it again and test for the issue.
If you are using Window Xp, Vista or Windows 7(64-bit) follow below step.
Open the Command Prompt (Choose Windows > Run>cmd).
Execute the Command Prompt command below to disable DNS prefetching (including quotes)
“Program Files (x86)Common FilesAppleApple Application Supportdefaults.exe” write com.apple.safari WebKitDNSPrefetchingEnabled -boolean false
Quit Safari, then open it again and test for the issue.
If further the problem is not solved it may be possibly issue of router, upgrade to more modern router.
