Hi Experts,

I updated my Opera to 11.60. I think it was working smoothly.

However, yesterday I received an error message regarding it.

The screenshot of the error message is as under. It is indicating mailer error.

What does it mean?

Have you any idea? Please help me to solve the problem.

Thanks for the help.

This error has only reported with Opera 11.60 version. This may be resulted due to errors in profiles. If you can't send/receive mail try following the below instructions.

* Try to recreate the mail accounts and create a new clean profile for your mail.

* You can also hide the error messages through settings. But this won't help much because the error symbols appear on the headers of your accounts.

* Set up your account check interval to at least 30 minutes. This may also resolve the problem.

* In some cases Firewall settings also affects this error in the mail. Check the settings manually for restrictions.

* If the above does not solve your problem try to upgrade your Opera software to 11.64 version or above because those versions has never reported the mail error according to the software developers.

Wassup Joycedparker, thats a good question to ask and I will be happy to help you as I can.

That error is mostly caused by an internet bug or errors in the user files set up incorrectly. The main thing you need to do to solve this issue is;

  • Uninstall and reinstall the software. Either install a  similar version or an upgraded version.
  • Uninstall the browser by going to control panel and selecting the safe uninstall option.
  • Once you choose to uninstall the browser, go to My Computer->Local disk C:->Users->Appdata->Roaming->Opera
  • Open My Computer->C:->Users->Username->Appdata->Local->Opera.
  • Delete all the users under these files
  • Open the registry entries by going to start and typing 'regedit'
  • In the registry editor,open HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareOpera Software

Delete all the entries under the opera registry

Install the new instance of opera or at least a different instance and test with the IMAP server

Ensure the self-signed certificates are allowed

Rerun the Opera browser and the error should not be repeated again

I hope this solves your query

Thanks
