How do I block flash ads in firefox 4?

I am so annoyed with the flash ads that are scattered everywhere. I am using Firefox 4 hoping it would block them, but it doesn't seem to. Is there an option I should be clicking?

How do I block flash ads in firefox 4?

You mean block everything made with flash in the websites you visit? The reason I am asking this is because you might lost some site functionality if you do that.

Well, not the entire site, but most of the flash ads which make my computer slows down to a crawl.

How do I block flash ads in firefox 4?

Ok. Then that makes it easier. I was about to tell you to disable the entire flash add-on in Firefox 4. However, there is a little add-on which can help you control the flash content that plays in the website you visit.

1. Go here http://flashblock.mozdev.org/index.html

2. Install that add-on for Firefox, shouldn't take long.

What happens now is that, it will stop the flash content from loading. However, it also gives you the choice to play the content if you want to. Thus, giving you the power to control the flash you want to see. Try it out, and tell me what you think.

How do I block flash ads in firefox 4?

I have been trying out that add-on you had me installing. So far so good. I do get to choose which flash plays and what does not. This might work.

How do I block flash ads in firefox 4?

The best way to block all flash ads on your browser when visiting a website is to install an add-on called “Disconnect.” I’ve been using this extension on the Opera browser and not a single ad appears on the page. This add-on will block all forms of ads on the page making them disappear on every page you visit.
