My CPU getting hot (Overclocking)

My computer is over clocking and it is very hot soI brought new Eco Coolit liquid cooling system. 

And i installed it to my computer.Currently running i7-960,not overclocked.

Can any one tell me is this normal or too high to my computer.

My CPU getting hot (Overclocking)

Overclocking a CPU boosts its power but also let the CPU work overtime and give pressure to it and causing it to heat up if you had installed cooling system, then there would be no problem about the CPU getting hot or getting burned.

 If i suggest unless you need to do heavy work on your PC that requires to overclock your PC then do it and when you are not doing any heavy work on a PC then return clock speed to normal. 

Above all if you really need over clock then overclock because there is no reason to strain you CPU for doing simple task

Hi John pole,

It is a very strong issue for every PC user. However I have given a solution that would be helpful for you.

• First you have to find out that your motherboard can be adjusted in the BIOS setup.
• You need to figure out the clock speed limitation of your motherboard.
• If you have any diagnostic software then runs it.
• You need to get a full backup of your system and documents.
• You have to make changes your motherboard settings if your motherboard is adjusted to BIOS.
• Then you have to shut down your computer.
• Now Disconnect all peripheral devices from your computer.
• Then you have to remove your CPU chassis.
• If the motherboard is adjusted with jumper then you need to locate jumpers which control the CPU speed.
• Then you have to install a CPU heat link if it matches with your CPU.
• Then reboot your computer.
