I am surprised to know that in US about 19% of American have tablets but 22% of Americans have no internet access at all. What is the reason for this kind of discrepancy?

19% tablet user but 22% of Americans have no internet access.

The reason why 22% of Americans have no internet access is a result of many factors according to a study from Pew. One for sure is poverty and low income. Another reason for this is that, roughly 31% of these American users were not interested at all, especially those seniors or people who grew up without having any Internet access at home.

They may not see the benefits of internet or they just don't seem to bother to learn how to use it. Some reasons,however, arises from geographic location. For instance, those who live on rural areas may not have internet access due to limited services from internet providers. These were just some of the reasons as to why not all American tablet users have internet connection.
