I recently switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox. While on Facebook I encounter this error about every 3 minutes.
Exception… "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "chrome://plugin/content/jquery-1.4.2.min.js Line: 112"]
I HAD Chrome, but didn't like it, so uninstalled it. I uninstalled Internet Explorer 9, because it was causing problems. I had no problems with Firefox for 2 weeks, then suddenly I do.
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I have the latest Java updates. I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

Error code while using any web page
First of all reinstall your Firefox and then check all the plug-ins which are on the drop down bar on the browser see if any of the plugins are disabled or not make enable and also check you that you are updated with the latest flash player in the browser to do go to the google and search adobe flash player and then go to the page and install it do procedures that are asked if the problem still persists check for viruses.
I think it will be helpful for you.

That’s also the same problem I encountered when I updated my Windows XP’s default version of Microsoft Internet Explorer to Internet Explorer 8. I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows XP has the default Internet Explorer 6. Uninstalling the default Internet Explorer 6 is not possible. The moment I installed Internet Explorer 8 on my computer the problem started. I encounter installation and uninstallation problems with some applications. And even if I decided to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 from my system, the problem in the registry remains although I was now able to uninstall the program I wasn’t able to uninstall before.
It’s possible that the cause of this error is when you installed Internet Explorer 9 on your computer. Try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. If the problem persists even if installing other web browsers, format your hard drive and install Windows again.
