I have xp service pack 3.I have a virus that is acting like antivirus software from microsoft.I downloaded it a week ago.I can't work on  office 2007 and access to the internet.even can't play a game.I can't delete that software .Please help me with this problem.

Uninstalling Fake Anti Virus Software

Yep, sometimes few Malware acts like hidden antivirus programs writing itself to the register ,disabling the existing antivirus and even disables the windows defender application, then what else outlook has nothing to defend it.

Here the solutions goes:

1. Search for the files that are acting as the antivirus and delete them in registry also.
2. Run a bootable antivirus program and clean it. And then install any AV program, i personally suggest McAfee AV program
3. Install the following and run them in the same order
4. rkill.exe, tdss killer, malware bytes . Execute malware bytes in full mode.
5. I can recommend to install combofix with system restore mode , even combofix prevents the system in safe mode running.

Uninstalling Fake Anti Virus Software

You can install a antivirus on your system to solve your problem. Also you can check for any virus can detect it and then you will be able to delete it form your computer and your system will work fine. You can take these steps to solve problem.

• First run your computer in Safe mode.
• Then go to START and then select the RUN.
• Here type cmd and press enter.
• Once you have new window then you need to type chkdsk. It will check your disk and make it error free.

Going through these steps will check your hard disk and if there is some problem it will remove this problem.

Now its time to detect he virus program follow these steps.

• Press the ALT + CTRL + DEL from your keyboard.
• Now go to process tab and see for any process that is taking most of system resources.
• Once you detect the program make sure that it is not a system program and is working like a virus.
• Now you need to end this process from the list. And you need to delete the file form your system which contains errors.
