Roland SC-545EX hangs-up
My Roland SC-545EX hangs-up when I am printing a 3 X 5 Square Feet tarpaulin. I am almost finish printing, about 1-inch where left before the printing is completed.
On the VERSAWORKS, the printing is completed while on the printer’s panel, it was still printing but the head doesn’t moving or printing.
I can still press buttons on the printer panel but the printing stops.
No error prompts, printing in progress indicator on the panel, print head is not moving.

This scenario comes up with the network connectivity issue. The reason behind this problem is because there were no data sent to the printer. The printer is waiting for the printing functions. Since there were no connectivity from the computer going to the printer, no data were sent from the computer. The printer is waiting for the next action to be perform but the data were not sent. End of the printing job also not yet send and the printer is expecting to have a data to be print that’s why printing job is not yet finished on the printer’s panel.
On the computer side, your printing software or the Roland Versa Works sent the data in advance. As you can see on the progress bar of the current job, it show 50% were finished but on he actual printing 50% of the job was not yet finish and still in progress. So if the LAN or the Local Area Connection was disconnected unexpectedly before the printer finish the printing job, there are possibilities that the job on the computer was finished but not in the printer queue.
We have no other solution for this but to fix the LAN connection and reprint the image. To fix your LAN, check the cables from your computer going to the hub as well as the cable from the printer going to the hub. Powering On and off the switch/hub may also helps. Sometimes loose connection is the reason so; try to plug-in and out your cable to the network adapter as well as on the switch/hub.
