Hello,

I am getting a weird error message when I try to start the Avid Pro tool in the computer. Previously it was working without any problem, but now I am getting an error message all of sudden. I have not made any major change; I changed the anti-virus software in the computer. How do I fix the error? Do I need to re-install the Avid? Please help me, thanks.

The application failed to initialize properly (0x0c0000142)

The error probably is caused by a blocked file by your new antivirus software. THe antivirus tried to block the whole content but some files are still working. One of the solutions for this is to disable the protection temporarily.

If the problem is still not solved. Try installing this program and check if you have a missing file or DLL. If there is, and it is a part installed by the program you are running. I recommend reinstalling the program while the antivirus is disabled.
