Nook e-reader that glows darkness

E-book users will now get their hands on an invention that will aid them to read in total darkness, regards to first ever e-ink  reader that has radiance in the dark.Are there any effects that the glowing might bring to the users eyes?

Nook e-reader that glows darkness

Nook E-book is made up of e-ink that does not need a backlight to be able to read in the dark. E-inks are very much safe as they have anti-glow, anti-glare, and low eye stress capabilities. According to Mr. Taussig, Director of Hewlett-Packard Information Surfaces Lab, the human eye moves in a 10-30 milliseconds while an LCD screen refreshes every 8 millisecond that makes the LCD faster and more safe. 

So to answer your question, no there are no serious effects that e-reader can give to the reader's eyes. But of course it still important to let the eyes rest for a while and let it blink.
