Hello,

Friends I am new to PS3, don’t know much about the function and operation. I am getting this error in PS3 don’t understand the problem and how to solve the error. I used the Serviio before long back, but never experienced this error in Xbox. How to solve this error? Is the Serviio is compatible with PS3? Do I need to upgrade? Please help. Thanks.

You don’t need to upgrade to correct this error.

There are 2 factors for this error, one, when you were using your Xbox, you didn’t have any AV software installed or your AV software doesn’t come with its own firewall, thus allowing connections from your PC to  your Xbox.

Solution: Open your Antivirus software and navigate its interface, look for firewall settings then allow Serviio or add it to exemptions. Your AV interface is self-explanatory, you can understand it easily.

The other reason for this is your syntax, make sure your syntax specified the correct path of serviio library, your system won’t accept key+combination like Alt+0 until Alt+32 nor the following characters “// \ / [ ] : | < > + ; = . ?”

Solution: You need to correct the file name and volume label then try the command again. Make sure you are referring to the right path, to check if its correct, browse your explorer, not IE but WE and locate the folder manually to know if it is still there, if it is not then type in search window an locate the serviio, then apply the command and correct the origin path.

I’m not sure what exactly you are doing but it appears like you are converting a Matroska video or MKV file. The error indicates that a particular location or folder is not accessible to begin the process. First, try disabling your antivirus temporarily then try again. It could be your antivirus or internet security interfering with the process. See if this works.

If this works, add the temp folder path without quotes “C:\Windows\Temp\Serviio” to your antivirus’ exclusions list. To do this, open your antivirus then go to “Settings”. Navigate within the settings options and look for “Exclusions” or something similar and then add the path. This should fix the problem. You may now re-enable your antivirus after this. If the problem continues, check every path in your command if they exist.

Also, check that the commands and switches you are using are all correct. To check the proper syntax, run “ffmpeg.exe” with the switch without quotes “-h” or “/?” whichever applies.
