IPad and Excite has more similarities than contrasts. IPad caters to beginners while Excite caters to advanced users that are capable of tweaking things at their tablet.
Here is why: Excite has a more advanced software. It runs 1.2 GHz with a 1024 RAM memory, meaning you can open tabs all at the same time without sacrificing the performance. Unlike the iPad which is a little slower of 1Ghz processor with 512MB RAM. Cameras are also quite different; iPad has 0.3 megapixels at the front facing camera and a 5 megapixels back camera, Excite has 2 megapixels at the front facing camera and a 5 megapixels back camera. IPad has a 4:3 aspect ratio while Excite has 16:10 aspec ratio. But iPad has poorer resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels than Excite's 1600 x1900 with a 264 PPI and 138 ppi. IPad has more supported formats when it comes to music and has more built in services support such as Flickr, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube and Facebook. While Excite only has YouTube and Picasa. Although, Excite can support flash and iPad cannot.Â
When it comes to OS, iPad uses iOS5 which is perfect for beginners as it is very easy to use. While Excite uses Android 4.0 Honey Comb that can make you capable of controlling your devices to your own preference with more customization options.Â
Excite costs pricier, $500 (10 inch) while iPad3 will cost $480.
