Hello,

I am unable to save corrections on pictures when trying to edit photos, with Windows Photo Gallery with two photos I scanned. The photos are not commercial just ones that were developed through a Kodak Film Processing Lab over 20 years ago. Other digital or downloaded photos are fine finally.

Please help me with solution.

 I get Error Code 0x88982f72.

Can I get a fix for this Error Code?

Thanks.

I have found a good solution for the problem that you are experiencing please uninstall the windows live essentials and have download the latest version of the program from this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/18614/windows-essentials install the program and try to run again and edit your pictures. Please update your antivirus to protect your files from viruses, worms or spywares. And please shutdown your computer properly because it may affect the programs or files. If you don’t know how to uninstall the windows live essentials program go to this file location c:program files and search windows live folder and delete it. Then browse again for c:program filescommon files look again for the windows live folder and delete it…

Just like with other users, you might encounter error code “0x88982f72” when you try to save a modification to an image or a picture like cropping a photo or doing a retouch. The error appears the moment you try to save the changes to the file. The workaround, as suggested by some of the users who encountered the problem, is to open the file in Microsoft Paint or Adobe Photoshop and save it.

You can save the file under a new file name or just overwrite the file. After this, any modification you do to the file will now allow you to save the changes.
