On my desktop computer, when I use Windows XP Operating system, there is no problem viewing TV on my internal AVerMedia TV tuner Card. However,  when I use windows 2000 OS, the Realtek HD Sound Card does not work properly, when I'm watching the TV.

I can't control the sound from AVermedia TV soft. Is there any solution?

  • It's not the problem of Realtek HD sound card.  If that is the case, then cross verify whether it is working for any other audio in your system.
  • The problem here is because of internal AverMedia TV tuner card.  I have seen so many posts regarding the failure of the audio from the AverMedia TV tuner.  If audio and video are present in coax cable input, then most tuner cards  are not processing the audio.  Instead, they give out the audio to the card. This can be done externally through cable and of course it has nothing to do with the operating system also.
  • Best way to solve this is, to get the compatible Aver media tuner card software with the OS you are using.  Find below the URL for the latest drivers
  • Avermedia Download
  • Driver Agent
  • For latest Realtek HD Audio driver download click URL.

The Realtek sound card may be old and not compatible with the current operating system. Therefore these kind of system may not play or show the TV. The audio driver may also not be compatible in a day of manufacturing the product.

These aspects and differences may make the sound card not to work properly.
