Zmodeler failed to start because of application configuration error

Hello guys,

Sorry for disturbing, but today, I auto-updated Zmodeler 2.1 to 2.2 and now it doesn’t respond on my computer, and I get an error message.   Below is the image:

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem

And I am unable to move back to 2.1 because the 2.2 update overwrote my 2.1 version.  So now I'm frustrated with a broken Zmodeler.  All the previous versions of Zmodeler are working properly , but not 2.2.  I've been running a registered Zmodeler for the last few years, and this is a really great software.  It'll be a waste if I can't use this anymore.  So please someone help me with this.

Also I have updated my XP Pro from SP2 to SP3, in the hopes that it'll do anything good for my problem.

Hello Brent,

You can fix this problem by downloading and installing this package. Microsoft didn't include these libraries in SP3.

I’m not really sure as to what exactly is the version of your ZModeler since I found a lot of 2.2 versions after visiting its official web site. When I visited the site, it lists the ZModeler versions from ZModeler 2.2.2 [dated August 4, 2009] up to ZModeler 2.2.6 which dated November 8, 2011. So it’s really not clear which one of these versions you upgraded to. And I also think that there is no system incompatibility issue here since the web site doesn’t say anything about the required operating system where the application can be installed or maybe the required Service Pack that you should be running.

Since the problem started after you auto-updated your previous version to this one now, might as well download the new version manually and not by auto-updating it. Since the application is already not working, might as well uninstall it then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Then visit again their website using your web browser and then download the latest version of the program. After downloading, scan the file first with your antivirus to make sure there is no sign of infection in the installer and then proceed on installing it on your machine. See if this fixes the problem.
