Sound Card doesn’t work properly

My speaker is perfectly working, I've installed motherboard cd with sound card driver. But when I'm trying to play a song or movies, it doesn't make any sound. I can't understand what's the real problem. Please give me a suggesstion. I'm waiting for any response.

First thing you will do is to check if your Headset or speaker are properly connected to soundcard whether if it’s on board or an expansion slot. Then as you can see on the right side of the monitor, there is a speaker icon , double click it and check if ever it is muted, if everything is okay and still there is no sound, you can also try these steps, Go to my computer and right click the  point the mouse cursor to properties then hardware then device manager, choose the sound video game controllers then update the drivers. Once done restart your computer.

You said that you have a working speaker and also you said that you have installed all the necessary driver for you motherboard. Have you check your connection of the speaker on the back panel or the front panel. Also you might be facing a problem with your player. Make sure the volume settings is not muted or the volume is too low. Also increase the volume in the speaker it might be on low settings. This are common errors but I think one of this solutions will solve your current problem.

Try downloading a codec pack as well just to make sure like Combined Community Codec.
