Why do videos run slowly on my computer? Some of the videos formats are running really slow on my computer and I am using K-lite codec player.

Why do videos run slowly on my computer?

Hello,

1st method:

This could be due to your old driver software of your graphic card.

So first of all, update your driver software.

You can go to graphic card company’s official website and you can update the drivers for free.

2nd method:

 In addition you can upgrade the latest version for your video player. Sometimes videos run slowly due to codec problems of your video player.

You can download and install the latest K-lite player from internet.

Why do videos run slowly on my computer?

Can you watch videos without any issues before? Are you trying to watch a high definition film? Does your computer meet the requirements needed to run the video?

Those are some of the things that you need to check in order to identify the cause of the problem. And you can try the following workarounds below:

1. Try to delete or remove unwanted programs to free some space in your computer. Check on the RAM and the hard disk space if you still have sufficient space.

2. Run a Registry Cleaner to clean your computer from damaged keys. There may be some corrupted files that are causing the video to run slow.

3. Update your video card driver.

4. Run the defragmenter. Extreme hard disk can stop having a smooth video playback.

5. Install flash player if you are trying to play videos online.

Check on the following:

1. If you are playing high definition videos, ensure that you are also using a high quality graphic memory.

2. Your driver needs to be up to date.

3. Check that your system has the correct AGP or VGA card.

4. Scan your computer for viruses and remove all the threats.

5. Run a defragmentation and free some space.

6. Go to the Task manager and see which process is running.

7. Optimize your browser and keep it updated.

8. Manage the startup and see which program is running.
