Hi TechyV,

Exchange 2007 has encountered an authentication problem. While connecting it with Outlook 2007 it is throwing an error message to verify authentication. I do not understand this authentication error. Have you any idea for this error?

Please help me to solve the problem.

Thanks for the solutions.

Hi,

You are getting this error message because your exchange is not authenticated. I suggest you to follow these steps:

>>Please open the ‘Exchange management console and navigate to allow an edge server to transfer mail to exchange hub transport services.

>>Now, select the default receive connector for the hub transport server that you would like.

>>Select the authentication tab.

>>Check the transport layer security.

>>Also check the exchange server authentication.

>>Now, click on apply.

Thanks and regards,

Skarbos Jay.

Hi Johnnie,

You have to make sure that the Account settings on your Outlook are correct, check the SMTP server if it holds the correct server and field number. Do this also in the Outgoing mail server and its field number. Make sure also that the password is also correct and the username should not have the @email.com after the name. Uncheck the “Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”. To make sure the incoming server and the outgoing server matches is by putting a checkmark on Use the same settings as my incoming server. Also check your antivirus and your firewall.
