I keep on getting Error 20 on Autodesk 3D Max 2001

I keep on getting this error when using the Autodesk 3D Max 2001

"The software license check out failed; error 20"

I already tried to fix the problem on my own by doing simple troubleshooting steps like removing the Autodesk file, and FLEX net files. I even tried to reinstall it for 5 times but still there is an error. I cannot use the program right now. Does anybody here know how to fix this problem? Thank you.

Good day Arturo,

 

You must apply a hotfix from Autodesk that can repair the flexnet errors. If those things aren’t exist, try this 3 steps that may help you:

First, check Flexnet if it is running then
Go to start->Run, type in “services.msc”
Now, Click on the “standard tab” at the bottom
Seek FLEXnet licensing service
And then, right click on it and press “properties”
Make the start-up type “Automatic”.
Under “service Status”, press start.

Cascade file corrupted:
You should rename or move Cascadeinfo.CAS
Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskAdLM

Start max it should fix the file then start

Reactivate:
Rename or move the following files (unhide hidden filesfolders)
adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
and
adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data.backup.001<- in same folder
XP = Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataFLEXnet
WIN 7 = ProgramDataFLEXnet

Start max it will want to be activated again
