I have downloaded Firefox latest version 4.0. When I played a video on Facebook, it gave an error that Window Media Player plugins were missing. I have downloaded the plugins but it still it was not working properly. How am I going to solve this problem?

It is good thing to have an alternate browser installed in a computer because if one browser crashed, an alternate is ready to use. New installation of a browser usually doesn't have plug-ins. Some can't play video. Some can't display the proper text and pictures on the page/screen. Plug-ins are needed to help browser be compatible with the latest updates webpages have. Once installed, reboot your computer.

Windows media player plugin missing
Hi Jhon!
Some websites are requiring Windows Media Player plugin. In Windows XP and earlier versions plug-ins are automatically detected. If you have Windows XP or Vista, they do not include standard plug-in. The plug-in file here is called np-mswmp.dll. If you are using Firefox 4.0 Beta, the Firefox installation directory does not include a plug-ins folder. You can manually create a new plug-ins folder within the Mozilla Firefox 4.0 program folder and copy np-mswmp.dll to the plug-ins folder which you created.
So, the problem even you installed new plug-ins was maybe caused by Firefox 4.0 Beta version. If some files will be missing, you can download it from dlldump.com and place them in the Windows Media Player directory (usually C:Program FilesWindows Media Player). If it is not working well, the problem might be with VLC plug-in file npvlc.dll. Remove it. It is usually located in your Mozilla browser: C:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxplugins).
